Bayfield Twin Bridges

Bayfield, Colorado

Bayfield Parkway crosses over the Los Pinos River just west of downtown Bayfield.  The river crossing consists of two bridge structures; one structure over the main channel of the Los Pinos River, and a second structure over an overflow channel of the River.  These bridge structures, built in 1931, have reached the end of their design life and so this project is involves the removal of these bridge and the replacement of both bridge structures.

Additional project scope includes: Shared-use path construction from Eagle Park to Joe Stephenson Park, offsite wetland mitigation work in Little Pine Park, embankment material (CIP), stormwater management, sidewalk, curb and gutter, precast MSE panel wall, seeding, mulching, topsoil, drainage culverts, brush layer cuttings, dormant log cuttings, temporary sewer bypass, fencing and other miscellaneous site work.
