Details
While our Southeast District may be more widely known for our ability to build signature and complex bridges, we are also experts when it comes to retaining wall construction and earth moving operations. On this project, we self-performed a vast majority of the work; bridge construction, retaining wall construction, mass grading, pond excavation, roadway grading, concrete placement, etc. Our ability to self-perform the bulk of the scope allows us to control the schedule, and in the case of this project, this control allowed us to deliver the project to the client 6 months ahead of schedule. These photos are a great example of our hunger and humbleness. The person pictured in the cut near the excavator is actually one of the owners of SEMA construction, as an owner of an ENR ranked contractor Brad Spies has maintained these core company values and still regularly engages in day-to-day field operations. Everything seen in both photos shown here was constructed by SEMA labor forces.
Selling Points
Signature interchange at the northern entrance to the Orlando International Airport.
Major Achievements
Project delivered 6 months ahead of schedule, SEMA accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic due to less traffic on roadways.
