This $26.5 million project included the reconstruction of an existing reservoir facility including demolition, 3.8 million CY of excavation, mining of interior berms, removal of portions of mined materials, construction of a 17 foot high embankment, outlet works and spillway, interconnecting concrete lined ditches, sedimentation basins, and provisions for future addition of aeration and chemical treatment piping, access roads and other facilities.
This $24 million project included construction of a dam and reservoir to supply water for the Parker Water and Sanitation District. The project included bid package #6 – Earthwork and Utility Construction. The perimeter of the reservoir is two miles around and included over 6.6 million CY of earthwork. The utility construction included large diameter welded steel pipe.
The purpose of this project is to replace the existing 90 inch and 66 inch outlets at Marston Dam with a new 84 inch multiple-level outlet located farther north of the existing outlet works. The project will include: breach of the existing dam at three locations, removal of the existing outlets, construction of the new multiple-level outlet works, reconstruction of the embankment at the breached sections, addition of a flow meter housed inside of a new flow meter vault, construction of a 60 inch gravity forebay drain, and upgrades to the Screen House.

This project provided the City of Arvada with additional raw water storage capacity in the Arvada Reservoir by raising the crest of the existing service spillway at Blunn Dam. The project included earthwork, geotextiles, soil cement, retaining walls, labyrinth structure, and utilities.
