    As Vice President, California District, Eric Stepien leads SEMA’s construction operations in California and Arizona, overseeing a diverse portfolio of heavy civil infrastructure projects. Reporting to T. Brett Ames, President and Chief Executive Officer, he manages project execution, field operations, and strategic planning, ensuring that SEMA’s projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and performance.

    Eric specializes in Alternative Delivery, particularly Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) and Progressive Design-Build (PDB). His expertise in collaborative contracting, risk mitigation, and cost efficiency ensures that SEMA’s projects align with owner expectations and maximize value for all stakeholders. He plays a pivotal role in project procurement, constructability reviews, and execution strategy, ensuring SEMA remains at the forefront of innovation and efficiency in the heavy civil industry.

    In addition to overseeing day-to-day project operations, Eric is actively engaged in business development, client relations, and workforce development. He is committed to building strong partnerships with trade partners, engineers, and public agencies, ensuring that SEMA’s reputation for reliability, innovation, and integrity continues to grow.
