As Chief Development & Delivery Officer, Corporate, Daniel J. Filer, P.E., provides executive leadership for SEMA Construction's national strategy for project development, Alternative Delivery, Special Projects, and complex heavy infrastructure execution. Reporting directly to T. Brett Ames, CEO and President, he serves as a corporate resource across all SEMA districts, partnering with district leadership to strengthen project pursuits, enhance delivery strategies, and support the execution of the company's most complex infrastructure projects. Frequently serving as Executive-in-Charge, Daniel provides executive oversight, strategic direction, and technical leadership for SEMA's most challenging pursuits from procurement through delivery.

With more than three decades of heavy infrastructure experience, Daniel's career spans engineering, construction, and executive leadership. He began with HNTB Corporation as an Engineer, Engineer of Record, Design Manager, and Project Executive, building a strong technical foundation in planning, design, and delivery. He later joined Ferrovial Construction North America, leading project development, Alternative Delivery, constructability, engineering integration, and risk management on nationally recognized mega projects, including the $2.5B North Tarrant Express, $2.1B LBJ Express, and $2.3B I-66 Outside the Beltway. He subsequently served as Executive Vice President and President of Ferrovial Services, helping grow the company into a leading provider of highway, bridge, and tunnel operations and maintenance services across the United States and Canada.

Prior to joining SEMA, Daniel served as President of Infrastructure for Michael Baker International, leading one of North America's largest infrastructure design and consulting organizations with approximately 3,600 engineers, planners, scientists, inspectors, and technical professionals. Even while leading the national practice, he remained personally engaged on its most technically challenging programs, advising owners and project teams on engineering strategy, constructability, delivery methods, and risk management.

Daniel enjoys spending time with family and remains actively involved in community service through Bat City Archery, where he serves as a Founding Board Member supporting youth development, education, and mentorship. Outside of work, he is passionate about leadership development, mentoring emerging professionals, and pursuing outdoor activities that reinforce focus, discipline, and perseverance. Known for his strategic mindset and collaborative leadership style, Daniel is driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, meaningful relationships, and delivering lasting value both professionally and personally.
